WH Stephens Belfast office has an opening for a Higher-Level Apprenticeship Quantity Surveyor seeking to pursue a career with a RICS registered company.
On your Apprenticeship, we will support you to develop knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Quantification of construction works and activities
Cost estimating
Cost planning
Value engineering
Procurement
Tendering
Post-contract cost control
Administration of different forms of construction contract
For this Apprenticeship position, we would like to speak to candidates with the following qualities:
Clear and effective communication skills – both oral and written
Methodical way of thinking and approach to work
Good organisation, problem-solving and negotiating skills
Financial and numeracy management skills
Sound ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work as part of a team
Have or working towards a UK driving licence as you will need to be able to drive to construction sites
